* Perfect start *

Ich bin ganz begeistert vom Dani Peuss Maikit.
Diesmal sind u.a. Papiere von Amy Tangerine aus der Plus One Kollektion enthalten.
Die habe ich direkt auf dem ersten Layout verwendet.Das passte ganz ausgezeichnet, weil ich kurz vorher meine Tasse auf einem Papier dieser Kollektion fotografiert habe, das gerade auf meinem Schreibtisch lag.

I'm totally in love with the Dani Peuss Maykit.
This month the kit contains paper of the Plus One collection designed by Amy Tangerine.
I used them on the first layout I made with this kit.
This matched perfectly because I had taken a picture of my cup before, standing on a paper from exactly this collection.

Zum Thema braucht man nicht viel zu sagen oder?
Ohne Kaffee geht bei mir morgens nichts. :)
Mit einer Schablone habe ich ein paar Kaffeeflecke aufgebracht und ein Stempel aus der Plus One Kollektion kam auch zum Einsatz.

The theme of my layout - well I think the picture says everything.
I can't get started in the morning without my coffee. :)
I made some splatters with a template and also used a stamp from the Plus One collection.

Das geprägte Papier hinter dem Foto ist mit einem Prägefolder und Stempelfarbe gemacht.
Quasi *Letterpress Light*. :)

The paper behind the picture is made with an embossing folder and an stamp ink.

Ein weiteres Mixed Media Layout.
Auf  Cardstock und Patterned Paper wurde zuerst eine dünne Schicht Gesso aufgetragen und dann im nächsten Schritt entstand auf dieser Schicht mit Wasserfarben und reichlich Wasser ein Aquarellhintergrund. Mittels einer Federschablone und Strukturpastehabe ich einen weiteren Akzent hinzugefügt .

Another Mixed Media layout.
First I applied a thin layer of gesso on my cardstock and patterned paper.
On this gesso base I worked on using water and watercolors.
For more texture I also used a feather mask and modeling paste.

Musik ist für mich sehr wichtig
Aber ich höre sie nicht nur gerne, sondern liebe es auch zu singen und Gitarre zu spielen.
Dabei kann ich wunderbar abschalten und auch so manches, was mich gerade nervt, stresst oder ärgert,
beiseite schieben.
Ich habe auf diesem Layout mit einer Schablone und Strukturpaste gearbeitet und außerdem noch Farbspray eingesetzt.

I don't only listen to music , I also love to sing and play guitar.
That's the perfect way to relax and forget about the things that stress me or make me feel sad.

Wieder etwas aus der Abteilung Mixed Media.
Diesmal habe ich eine Gelato-Transfer Technik benutzt, nach einem Tutorial von Mel Blackburn  bei Studio Calico. Zuerst wird mit Gelatos (ich habe 4 verschiedene Aqua- ,Blau- und Türkistöne verwendet) auf Folie gekritzelt. Dann wird das Ganze mit Wasser und Pinsel vermalt und anschließend die Folie auf den Cardstock gedrückt. So entsteht ein Hintergrund mit wunderschönem Aquarelleffekt.
Dann noch ein paar Akzente mit einer Schablone und Strukturpaste setzen - fertig.

Another Mixed Media layout.
This time I used a Gelato-Transfer technique following a tutorial by Mel Blackburn for Studio Calico's Mixed Media class. First I scribbled with my Gelatos ( I used four different aqua-, blue- and turqoise-tones) on a sheet of foil. Then I added water with a paint brush to delute the colors and applied the colored side of the foil on my cardstock.
The result is a beautiful watercolor background.
Finally I used a mask and modeling paste to add a bit more structure. That's it.

Im Aprilkit von Dani Peuss sind Rahmen und Vellum Shapes aus der Styleboard Kollektion von Maggie Holmes enthalten. Die machen sich auch sehr gut als Kartendekoration.
Zwei Karten, die mit diesem Kit gemacht sind, möchte ich heute zeigen.

The Dani Peuss April kit contains frames and vellum shapes from Maggie Holmes' Styleboard collection which are perfect for cardmaking.
I used them on two cards which I want to show here today.

Bei diesem Layout habe ich den Hintergrund mit Farbsprays, Stempel und Strukturpaste gestaltet.
Die Stempelfarbe habe ich passend zu den Sprays gewählt, da ich den Ton in Ton Effekt sehr mag.
Auch die ausgestanzten Blüten wurden passend eingefärbt.

I created the background of this layout using color mist, stamps and modeling paste.
I chose  ink pads in matching colors to get a tone on tone effect which I like very much.
The flowers are stamped from cardstock and then also sprayed with color mist.

Sticken und Nähen auf Layouts ist  seit einiger Zeit sehr im Trend.
Ich finde, es ist eine tolle Möglichkeit, besondere Akzente zu setzen.
Auf dem heutigen Layout habe ich diesen Trend mit einem weiteren, nämlich Wasserfarben
kombiniert. Ich habe zuerst ein Karomuster auf den Cardstock genäht und die Felder dann mit Wasserfarben ausgemalt.So entsteht ein schöner individueller Hintergrund.

Stitching and sewing on scrapbooking projects is very  trendy.
It's such a great way to bring beautiful accents on a layout, card or other projects.
On today's layout I combined this trend with another - watercolors.
I sewed a grid pattern first and then added watercolor.
The result is a beautiful individual background.
